Job Title: Operations Manager (Nurse Qualified) - Care Homes

Location: South of England, overseeing multiple homes.

Overview:

Kinetica is delighted to be working with an expanding care home provider of residential & nursing home services, committed to delivering exceptional care and support to elderly residents across the South of England. We are dedicated to maintaining high standards of care, promoting independence, and enhancing quality of life for our residents.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager with nursing qualifications to oversee the operations of care homes located in the South of England, and further homes through their expansion. They will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services, compliance with regulations, and the overall success of our care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the effective operation of all care homes within the region.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to monitor and improve the quality of care delivered to residents.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing the operation of care homes, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage care home managers and staff to ensure the provision of skilled and compassionate care to residents.
  • Financial Management: Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and drive cost-effective operations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, including health and safety risks, to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead and support continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and overall service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN) with active NMC registration is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a senior management or leadership role within the healthcare or care home sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing the operation of care homes, particularly in the UK.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
  • Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care and promoting the well-being of residents.
