Overview:

My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team. As an independent insurance broker known for service excellence, they are committed to delivering exceptional value to their clients. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in streamlining processes, improving systems, and enhancing documentation to drive operational efficiency and contribute to their growth trajectory. This position offers a great opportunity for a talented individual to become an integral part of the senior management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of operational processes within the broking team, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine systems and procedures to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee documentation processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of records.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and partners.
  • Drive initiatives to expand operational excellence beyond the broking team, encompassing underwriting and claims functions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant insights into operational strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Acturis (preferred but not essential), or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing insurance operations.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying updated on industry developments.
