I'm working with a London market insurance client actively seeking an Operations manager to join their growing team in the heart of the city of London. This role will offer a rare opportunity to be part of the Operation's leadership team supporting Aggregation processes across Marine, Energy, Political, Violence & Terrorism (PVT) business line, acting as the centre point of communication between the operations team and facing off to senior underwriters. The successful candidate will have an operations background gained working in a London market insurer and be responsible for managing a team of 10 from an office of 200 delivering regularly to service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Aggregation Data Team to ensure timely delivery and accurate service to the Underwriting, Exposure and Risk Management teams
  • Manage the workflow & prioritisation of the team to ensure SLA's are met
  • Coaching and leadership of the Aggregation Data Administrators to ensure high quality delivery across
  • Manage the team's performance of data cleansing, importation, and geo-coding of location level aggregate data, plus the input of additional risk data required by Exact Advantage.
  • Manage and deliver accurate and timely reporting of Aggregation
  • Work closely with the US CAT modelling team to ensure our data is high quality and accurate via validation and AAL reports
  • Compile regular data reports for underwriters and ad hoc exposure reporting when required to support catastrophe events

Must have / be:

  • Exposure to working directly with underwriters and facilitating information requests
  • Previous Lloyds of London insurance experience with a strong understanding of how the market operates
  • Strong team leader and/or management experience
  • Ability to cope under pressure in a high volume & fast paced environment
  • Logical, analytical and resourceful
  • Good Geographical awareness and knowledge

Desirable:

  • Political, Violence & Terrorism business line experience
