Operations Support

BB10, Burnley

Days: 9 am to 5pm

Salary: £24,000 to £28,000

24 days holidays per year, plus bank holidays

Permanent Contract

The Operations support role is to provide support/assistance to the Sales and Installation teams, to enable them to deliver business to the highest standard possible, for our IT client.

Skills required

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently, efficiently and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Honesty and trustworthy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - especially Outlook and Excel
  • IT device repair and testing
  • Excellent attention to detail

Essential

  • Driving license - full clean UK driving license
  • Computer repair knowledge and experience
Responsibilities and duties

Customer Equipment Returns

  • The recording and management of customer returns
  • Identification of device warranty status
  • The triage of returned equipment
  • Parts identification and ordering for repairs
  • The repair of customer devices - PC’s, Laptops, Tablets
  • Testing and quality checking of customer repairs
  • Packing and dispatch of customer devices for delivery

Stock related activities

  • Maintaining installation equipment stock levels (cables, brackets etc)
  • Recording and communicating refurbished stock levels to the sales team
  • Maintaining and recording the support stock equipment
  • Processing incoming deliveries and recording deliveries
  • Booking couriers and packaging items ahead of shipping

Scheduling activities

  • Controlling, recording, and communicating the installation schedule for the sales and installation team
  • Liaising with sales and accounts regarding stock availability and schedules

Pre-installation activities

  • Pre-installation activities
  • Gathering installation equipment ahead of works
  • Checking and preparing refurbished equipment ahead of installations
  • Preparing end user devices before dispatch (memory upgrades, AIO builds)

Post installation activities

  • Re-stocking unused installation equipment

Post sales activities

  • Recording sold equipment onto company database
  • Recording and managing customer support issues with manufacturers
  • Triage of customer issues to establish correct support requirements
  • Processing of equipment returned to CC for repair

General Housekeeping activities

  • Disposing of rubbish from the office and workshop
  • Keeping the workshop and office tidy and safe

Role development and future activities

  • Performing site surveys for sales team to accurately cost jobs
  • Other duties as assigned.
