We are currently looking for an Operational Risk Manager to join our Operational Risk team on a full time, fixed term 6 months contract. This is your chance to develop your career in an exciting environment where anything is possible. Are you ready to grow your career with us?

Your new role

In this role you'll be responsible for implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework within Operations, including championing a strong risk culture and leading the day-to-day operation of the Documentation Framework across EO.

Other responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating approximately 15 RCSAs (Risk and Control Self Assessments) across Operations, both within the UK and Europe

  • Identifying how the structure of the RCSAs need to be updated to align with business changes

  • Overseeing the effective creation and management of issues or operational losses

  • Coordinating the annual plan of Documentation Management activities needed to meet the framework requirements

  • Undertaking regular monitoring of adherence to the Documentation Management Frameworks and escalating issues. This will include assisting with preparation of reports for submission to senior leadership, including the Operations Management Group

  • Coaching and supporting the Operational Risk Analyst(s)

About You

You'll have an experience in a risk management, operational risk or documentation standards related role and knowledge of operational risk standards and techniques.

Other skills you'll need:

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment and dealing with internal and external audits

  • Experience of handling data and creating high quality reliable reports, summaries, graphs, or dashboards at various levels

  • Knowledge of general insurance and London market initiatives, infrastructures, processes, and business practices

  • An understanding of and ability to identify and escalate risks within an enterprise risk framework.

  • Good organisational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
