Operational Resilience Risk Manager

Our client is a leading financial services institution that is committed to providing a range of bespoke banking solutions to their loyal customers.  The company is currently seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Risk Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's operational risk management program and ensuring its effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operational risk management, operational resilience including scenario planning and reporting, as well as experience in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and enhance the existing Operational Resilience Self-Assessment document (including Important Business Services, end-to-end mapping, Impact Tolerances, critical resources and vulnerabilities) to ensure these are aligned to regulatory and firm requirements.
• Design and implement Operational Resilience standards to provide the business with ongoing reference and support material.
• Ensure the bank meets ongoing Regulatory commitments by embedding an Operational Resilience framework throughout the business.
• Working with key stakeholders around the business as SME, lead activities and discussions around Operational Resilience ensuring adequate documentation is in place.
• Design and implement Operational Resilience Reporting & MI and ensure this is embedded within the bank governance structure, including the identification and escalation of material resilience vulnerabilities.
• Work with key stakeholders across the bank acting as the SME on Operational Resiliency;
• Collaborate with the 2nd line Operational Risk Team to ensure appropriate oversight and challenge on all aspects of Operational Resilience;
• Manage the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan including testing, ensuring alignment with the Operational Resilience framework and IT incident plan;
• Fostering a resilience mindset across the Bank.
• Working with BRCM to update department risk registers (risk and controls)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational risk management
• Experience in operational resilience, scenario planning and resourcing
• Experience in the financial services industry
• Excellent stakeholder engagement
