Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Oncology Consultant – a Clinical Oncologist specializing in head and neck cancers to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert clinical care and treatment to patients with head and neck cancers, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with head and neck cancers.
- Provide specialized oncology care, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiotherapy.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumour boards, and clinical research activities.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, potential side effects, and supportive care services.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and service development projects.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
- CCT or equivalent in Clinical Oncology with a subspecialty interest in head and neck oncology.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex head and neck cancer cases.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
