Office Manager - Join an International B2B Events Company

Work from a Central London based Office - Office based Monday -Friday

Salary up to £34,000 + Benefits

This is a Full time, office based position, there is no home based working.

The hours of work are 8:30-5:00pm Monday to Friday

Jackson Barnes Recruitment is excited to be recruiting an experienced Office Manager for a Global player in the business events industry. Our client produces and owns their own large scale business events, these can be in the format of a conference, exhibition, a summit, congresses or a business festival. They work across a multitude of industries from pharma to telecoms. It’s an exciting, creative, professional and fun place to work.

The role - Office Manager

  • Be the first point of contact for guests, staff and general enquiries.
  • Ensure the office, meeting areas, washrooms and tea points are kept presentable, and the rubbish and recycling is maintained daily through the cleaning contractor.
  • Be the office Health and Safety point of contact and Fire Warden and undertake any necessary training.
  • Manage the meeting room booking system and entry system.
  • Update the visitor log daily.
  • Provide general administrative support for employees.
  • Organise the office layout.
  • Assist with the onboarding process and enrolling new starters to the learning management systems.
  • Liaise with building and facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering, landlord and security system services.
  • Assist with staff travel bookings and management.
  • Keep a record of costs relating to office expenditure.
  • Auditing office facilities and furniture bi-annually and reporting anything in need of repair/replacement.
  • Manage and order stationary, office and catering supplies, checking stock regularly and ordering and replenishing as necessary to ensure that supplies never run out.
  • Attend events when and if required.
  • Maintain login usernames/ passwords.
  • Assist with project management of office refurb.

Experience and skills

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, Operations Manager or Administrative Assistant.
  • Knowledge of Office Manager responsibilities, systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Pro-active approach and the ability to use initiative daily.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
