Trident Healthcare are looking for multiple Occupational Therapists to join a leading NHS Trust in the Surrey area, this is a fantastic 3 month locum for an experienced OT to join a dynamic and compassionate team dedicated to enhancing lives through occupational therapy.

Based in a fast-paced paced hospital, you will be required to:

  • Identify activities and motivations that might help patients work towards their goals.
  • Helping people with disabilities perform different activities such as dressing, eating and walking
  • Demonstrate exercises that could potentially help improve the patient’s conditions or relieve pain.
  • Evaluate patients’ home environment in an effort to identify potential improvements to be made to improve their conditions.
  • Educate the patients’ families and friends about the right way to accommodate and care for them.
  • Recommend special equipment and medication, as well as instructing patients on how to use the equipment and take medications.
  • Document and assess patient’s activities and progress, as well as creating reports for billing and evaluations.
  • Generate reports for patients and their physicians and families.
  • Report a patient’s progress to Physicians and other healthcare providers.

What do you need to hold?:

  • HCPC registration
  • BSc (or equivelant) in Occupational Therapy.
  • At least 1 years' UK hospital experience.
  • Experience in ortho, surgical wards, general medicine or MSK.
