Our well-established client located in Bristol, are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their friendly team on a Part time - Permanent basis 15 hours, with a salary of £34,581 on offer dependent upon experience.

Job Overview

This position is located in Bristol, 86 beds over eight wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Addiction and Neurocognitive Disorders.

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic part-time occupational therapist to join our therapy team on a fast-paced, 10-bed adult acute ward.

Main Responsibilities

The position requires to complete assessments, developing and implementing person-centered treatment plans, facilitating group and 1:1 work, facilitating graded exposure, educating on coping strategies, completing community signposting and contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings. You will also be working alongside another occupational therapist, an occupational therapy assistant and may be required to provide supervision to occupational therapy staff.

Although you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrists and a specialty doctor, a large part of the role will also involve autonomous working. You will be expected to apply your occupational therapy skills, complete thorough risk assessments and use evidence-practice to guide your therapeutic interventions.

Skills Required

Previous experience working within Mental Health is essential, MUST hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and accreditation by the HCPC.
