Role: OAT Test Manager
Location: Remote/Gosport
Type: Contract Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months initial with Possible extension
Key Responsibilities
* Working with the Technical Teams across Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud, Security and Service Management to identify the operational acceptance tests that need to be completed for the project readiness activities.
* Liaising with architects and engineers from the transformation programme to address any technical questions or clarifications associated with the operational tests.
* Working with the Project Managers to identify OAT environment build timescales and ensure the correct build/set up is in place to run the identified tests.
* Working with the Transformation Orchestration Management, Architects, Project Managers, BCDR Manager, Senior Customer Stakeholders and technical teams to build and execute High Availability and Disaster Recovery testing.
* Ensure all user access with the correct permissions are in place for testing commencement.
* Scheduling the tests within the OAT window to maximise the test output against resource availability.
* Liaising with relevant managers to schedule resources (with contingency cover) for completing the operational acceptance testing.
* Working with the Project Test Lead to agree how tests will be documented and tracked to feed into the Test Report, including Defect Management.
* Working with the Defect management team to ensure these are remediated and re-tested within the OAT test window.
* Manage the day-to-day OAT activities including tracking progress and escalating any issues to either the Project Manager or the Technical Managers to ensure OAT successfully exits the test phase.
* Chair OAT preparation and test meetings
* Provide regular updates into various Service Transition and Project meetings on OAT progress, issues and escalations.
Essential
* Project management or Test management ideally Operational or User acceptance test management experience
* An understanding of Cloud technologies, infrastructure, system architecture, operating systems and environments
* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and be comfortable with presenting to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and concise way.
* Proactive Problem-solving and analytics skills
* Excellent Facilitation and Organisation skills
* Willingness to travel to Gosport and London for meetings, especially in the run up to the operational testing phases.
* Flexibility around working schedule, especially if OAT needs to run over weekends.
Desired
* Oracle Cloud and MS Azure knowledge
* Experience of Military/Government Services
