Based in East Molesey, we are looking to recruit a Nursery Quality Lead to join the established team.

Main Duties

  • To work as part of a team where all members are valued under the supervision of the Head to ensure safe and effective day to day practice at Sapphires Nursery School.
  • To play your part in ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating beautiful environment with a high standard of physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual care for all children.
  • To assist the Room Leaders in providing rich learning opportunities for all children.
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can engage, learn and develop.
  • To inspire, coach and lead team members to support them to be the best they can be, particularly focused on leading the Quality of teaching and learning, and ensuring activities are extended and scaffolding is used.
  • Observing and challenging practice in an effective manner where necessary.
  • To conduct peer to peer observations.
  • To support our apprentices in the training and development of outstanding Early Years practice.
  • To help action feedback in the rooms from our Quality inspections so we are always improving and delivering outstanding practice
  • To keep abreast of developments within early years, particularly with the Froebel Trust, current early years practice and trends, and Ofsted.
  • To contribute to the development and reviews of the Nursery policies and procedure.
  • To ensure we communicate our best practice and curriculum well to all parties such as Ofsted, parents etc.
  • To assist the Head in completing supervisions.
  • To help the Head induct new members with our vision and curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain good partnerships and communications with parents.
  • To encourage good teamwork, sharing responsibilities across the Nursery to help develop a positive team culture at all times.
  • To ensure that team members are deployed across the Nursery effectively to meet the needs of the children and to maximise time for training and development.
  • To support smooth everyday running of the Nursery.
  • To take an active involvement with additional activities such as parent’s evenings, open days, training, and staff meetings.
  • Adhere to all Statutory requirements and to read, understand and implement all SNS policies and procedures.
  • To ensure all information received within the nursery is kept strictly confidential.
  • To encourage, coach and support all team members to meet and reach their potential.
  • Being a positive influence, motivator, and ambassador for Sapphires Nursery School in all situations, promoting and modelling our ethos including SHINE and Nursery vision.
  • Communicating effectively to work in close collaboration across all age ranges with all Team members to support the Nursery Head in ensuring the continuing development and highest standards of care and education in the Nursery.
  • To work with, and input to, the current Action Plan aiming to meet Outstanding expectations supporting and inspiring team members to do the same.

Location : East Molesey

Hours : 41 hours between Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.30pm

Salary : £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
