Location: Astwick, Bedfordshire

Salary: £24,960 + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time

The Client:

Our client is a reputable childcare nursery, offering a nurturing home-like setting for children aged 3 months to preschool age.

The Role:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care and educational support to children.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement all nursery policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of educational activities.
  • Act as a key person for assigned children, monitoring their progress and needs.
  • Promote equal opportunities and ensure safety and well-being for all children.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse or in a similar role.
  • Must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Possess certifications include Paediatric First Aid and Basic Safeguarding.
  • Understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage and related inspection frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare requirements, health and safety, and hygiene practices.
  • Skilled in report writing and maintaining accurate records.

Desirable:

  • City and Guilds Level 5 diploma in leadership.
  • Hold a Food and Hygiene Level 2 and SENDCO certification.
  • Understanding of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms (FAMLY, Learning Book, Tapestry etc).
