Nursery Practitioner
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, a nurturing disposition, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with children in age-appropriate activities, including play, arts and crafts, and educational outings.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with meal times, including feeding and encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up toys and equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement daily routines and activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
- Commitment to upholding safeguarding and health and safety policies.
