Nursery Assistant

Hourly Rate: £11.68 - £14 

Location: Camden, London

Job Type: Part-time (Thursdays and Fridays)

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our vibrant nursery in Camden. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or with experience in early years. The position requires availability on a rota basis between 8am-6pm, and we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children’s learning and development.
  • Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Attend to the children’s personal needs, including feeding, changing, and comforting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, or equivalent experience in early years.
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a rota between the hours of 8am-6pm.
  • A caring and patient nature with a passion for childcare and education.
