Term time only (38 weeks per year)

Salary c. £15-£17ph

8am - 4pm Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting a Nursery / Preschool Manager at our beautiful, forward-thinking, children’s nursery and preschool in Walton-On-Thames.

We are seeking individuals who can promote high quality care in a stimulating, rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for children from 3-5 years, helping in getting them ready for the school environment.

We are a beautiful little 35 place setting, with a great range of facilities, which invest heavily in our hardworking staff ensuring that everyone receives the training and support needed and offer a career path with long term growth and stability.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery / Preschool Manager:

• The Nursery Manager oversees the day-to-day running of the nursery preschool in line with the statutory framework, aiming for Ofsted excellence. You'll lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stages. This includes overseeing the planning and record keeping. An enthusiastic and inspirational manager, your leadership style will motivate your staff team as well as ultimately ensuring the children are well looked after, content and stimulated and their parents are happy too.
• Arranging staffing/rotas in accordance with statutory regulations and budgets. Naturally you'll be a great communicator as you'll not only need to engage and encourage the children but you'll also need to develop and maintain professional working relationships with local authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies. Mostly though, your passion for seeing the children develop, grow and progress will be what helps you make this role a success.

The ideal candidate will;

• Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
• Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
• Have previous experience at Manager or Deputy Manager level within an Early Years environment.
• Be qualified to CACHE, NVQ, NNEB level 3 (or equivalent) in childcare
• Have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS)
