Early Years Practitioner

  • Salary: £13 to £15 per hour
  • Start date: Monday 22nd April 2024

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a vibrant team in Canterbury. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a positive impact on young children’s learning experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver creative and educational activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children in your care.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education.
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to use initiative.
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
