Nursery Assistant

Are you a Nursery Teacher with experience of working with Early Years children? If you are an Early Years specialist, or have strengths being a Nursery Teacher for children in Nursery and Reception then this is the role for you!

From June, a Huddersfield Primary school is looking for an Early Years teacher to cover a maternity leave in their Nursery class.

Duties will include:

• Some planning and changing of the learning areas/ activities
• Teaching small groups
• Supporting with learning through play
• Observations
• Following the Development Matters EYFS framework
• First Aid trained or willing to do a First Aid course
• Personal care

As a Nursery Assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupils, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with your time. Some pupils will require some personal care and first aid.
