Nursery Assistant - Level 3

Our client operates several nursery settings in and around Leeds. They're seeking an enthusiastic nursery assistant with prior experience and a strong desire to develop their skills. With well-equipped rooms catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, you'll have access to a range of resources and activities to support the children in your care.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing age-appropriate activities to nurture the specific development of designated children
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with parents and caregivers while undertaking key children responsibilities
• Conducting observations during EYFS curriculum-based activities to monitor progress and accomplishments
• Assisting with children's hygiene routines and mealtimes
• Contributing to a secure and enjoyable environment, with a focus on health and safety at all times
• Safeguarding children and promptly reporting welfare concerns to management
• Recording daily diary entries for children and conducting end-of-day handover procedures with parents
• Supporting the training and professional growth of other staff members in the room

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
• Prior experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanour
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Dedication to children's development with an energetic, positive attitude
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

Desired (but not essential):

• Safeguarding training
• Paediatric first aid training
• Food and hygiene training
• Health and safety training
