I am looking to speak with NQ Solicitors and Trainee Solicitors (due to qualify September 2024) seeking to kickstart their legal career with one of the largest Competition teams in Europe, at an innovative, international law firm in London. A genuine passion for competition and regulatory law is a must.

The Firm:
  • A forward-thinking firm with over 70 offices in more than 40 countries, staffed by 5,000+ lawyers. They blend deep local market insights with a global perspective, fostering strong relationships with clients, their team, and the communities they serve.
  • They embrace bold, dynamic, and agile approaches to ensure their clients are prepared to face the future confidently. Driven by technology, they are always exploring new and improved ways of working. Their mission is to inspire, impact, and support their clients and their team, helping everyone maximize their potential and thrive.
The Role:
  • Their Antitrust, Competition, and Trade team manages a diverse range of high-quality work, including EU and UK mergers, competition investigations, litigation, behavioral advice, and various regulatory and trade matters, such as sanctions. They also offer extensive advice on public procurement, state aid, and CMA consumer enforcement issues.
  • This role offers excellent career advancement opportunities in a dynamic, internationally focused competition team. The practice spans transactional, contentious, and advisory work.
  • NQs are encouraged to take on significant responsibilities and have extensive client contact. From day one, your role will include business development activities within the team and across the firm’s sector groups. The team engages in substantial cross-border work, cooperating daily with their international offices.
The Candidate:
  • Have a solid background and experience/training in UK and EU competition law, with a willingness to learn FDI, public procurement, state aid/subsidy, and/or trade law.
  • Possess excellent communication and drafting skills, with the ability to communicate succinctly.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and provide clients with focused strategic advice.
