Reed (Food & FMCG) are representing a very famous and respected company, in their search for an NPD Technologist to join their team.

Example of role responsibilities once fully trained:

Manage factory activity for NPD, EPD projects in line with signed off critical path, internal and customer criteria, resolving any issues in a timely manner before launch.

  • Plan, organise and carry out trials on new products and processes
  • Ensure all relevant data is collected, documented, and communicated throughout the trial process
  • Ensure food safety, legality and quality standards are met for all new & existing product development
  • Assess products against the current HACCP plan, reporting outcome into the HACCP team
  • To be a key member of the NPD Development Team and to build strong relationships with key team members, customers and suppliers
  • To proactively manage own workload based on the teams’ weekly objectives

Desirable experience:

  • Knowledge of process product development
  • Knowledge of Product Development stage gate processes.
  • Knowledge of food labelling regulations
  • To have an inquisitive mind – to be able to understand a problem and be able to design an experiment to help solve or understand the issue
  • Ability to analysis data
  • Knowledge of Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector
