Veblen International are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading British Cosmetics brand who are dedicated to delivering high-quality products that inspire confidence and style. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a passionate Product Development Manager to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

As their Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing their product strategy to drive sales and enhance brand awareness. Working closely with the Head of Product Development, you will oversee the development and launch of new products while maintaining the integrity of their existing lineup.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Team Management: Provide support and guidance to the product development team to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
  • Project Coordination: Conduct weekly project tracker meetings and enforce deadlines to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Project Ownership: Manage all aspects of product development from inception to delivery, overseeing up to 100+ SKUs simultaneously.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external teams to communicate project timelines and requirements effectively.
  • Trend Research: Stay abreast of beauty trends and translate them into innovative product concepts aligned with our brand identity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to EU regulations, overseeing regulatory affairs and documentation.
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate pricing and maintain development schedules.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct SWOT analysis and competitive research to inform product development strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, supply chain, wholesale, retail, warehousing, and accounts to execute the product development calendar effectively.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Experience in product development within the beauty industry, ideally with a high volume cosmetics brand.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product development projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of EU regulations and experience with regulatory affairs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay updated on industry trends and translate them into actionable insights.
