NOC Engineer
Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer – Rochdale/ Shift Work – £30,000 to £36,000 + 15% Shift Allowance.
We’re partnered up with an award-winning internet services provider who is hiring for a Network Operations Centre Engineer to join their NOC team of 12 engineers. The Network Operations Centre Engineer will work in shift patterns to support the NOC environment in operation 24/7.
The rotating shift times are as follows: 6am-14pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm to 6am.
The NOC Engineer will be a valuable member of the team to collaborate and interact with stakeholders and cross-functional team members, have a good all-round understanding of Networks and Systems and report into the NOC Team Leader.
Requirements of the Network Operations Centre Engineer:
- Exposure to a NOC environment and shift work.
- Strong knowledge in Cisco networks, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
- Self-starter, proactive and strong communicator.
Responsibilities of the Network Operations Centre Engineer:
- Work in a 24/7 shift rotation
- Manage incidents within the company’s network and infrastructure
- Monitor the Network and performance daily
- Troubleshoot any Network issues, fault analysis and hard troubleshooting.
- Conduct 3rd level support to the wider organisation
