NOC 3rd Line Network Support Engineer - Fixed Term Contract until December 2024

Are you ready to take your career in networking to the next level? FullFibre is seeking a 3rd Line Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a 3rd Line Network Support Engineer, you'll collaborate with our ISP Principal Network Architect and NOC team to drive the evolution of our FullFibre core infrastructure while resolving complex service issues. Your technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our network, ensuring exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Design: Work closely with our ISP Principal Network Engineer and Chief Network Architect to redesign and implement our core infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Network Support: Conduct thorough investigations and troubleshooting of network faults and performance issues. Collaborate with backhaul providers and equipment vendors to resolve incidents and recommend updates.

  • Technical Expertise: Utilise your in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security protocols to implement and maintain network security policies, procedures, and tools.

  • Documentation and Mentoring: Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members. Disseminate networking knowledge across the organisation.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM-related field
  • In-depth experience in core network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Strong expertise in Juniper/Cisco routers and switches, and firewall technologies.
  • Current JNCIE/CCIE and JNCIP/CCNP certifications, or equivalent.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of FTTH/FTTP transit network technologies.
  • Practical experience with network transmission technologies and architectures within a large ISP or Carrier environment
