Night Shift Supervisor

Due to continued growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Nightshift Supervisor to join our Client on a Permanent basis located in Coalville.

You will be responsible for the supervision of a small team on a night shift and the operation of multiple production lines. This position requires safe operation, start-up, set-up, troubleshooting, shutdown and maintenance of equipment.

You will be controlling the flow of raw material supply, maintaining the performance of the production line whilst monitoring and maintaining quality. You must be able to adjust lines to meet size specification, resize jobs and operate machinery and equipment in a safe and effective manner. You must understand and perform related tasks such as finished part inspection, material identification and handling, data collection/input and meet all related requirements for documentation and traceability.

• £26,559 per annum
• £1000 Annual bonus based on Company profit and individual performance
• Night shift Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am

Shift Supervisor Role & Responsibilities include;

• Set up lines according to precise customer specifications
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot all equipment: extruder, controls, cooling baths, OD gauges etc
• Identify and install appropriate tooling such as pins, dies, heads, screens etc
• Weigh and mix materials according to production work order
• Complete product traceability: logs, production reports, data entry etc as required to document process activities
• All other duties as required

Person Specification of Shift Supervisor;

• Previous experience in a plastics environment would be preferred
• Good understanding of polymer processing would be advantageous
• Strong mechanical aptitude, along with troubleshooting / problem solving skills
• Basic mathematical skills including units of measure, fractions and decimals
• Computer knowledge is beneficial
• Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 15kg and occasionally lift/move 25kg
• Forklift experience would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given for the right candidate
• Good communication skills are essential at all levels
