Night Porter (part-time a 4 day 32 hour week on a rota), required for our client, a prestigious hotel, located in the Horley area.

As Night Porter, you will be covering a full range of guest services including reception, food and beverage service and banqueting setup duties.

You will be part of small team responsible for guest care and security during the nighttime hours.

As Night Porter your duties will include:

  • 4 nights, 32 hours per week including weekend shifts on a rota basis. Shifts are 22.45 to 07.15 allowing for a 30-minute break.
  • Guest care and service including guest check in and check out, answering/handling hotel switchboard, enquiry handling, preparing and serving light snacks/meals, banqueting setups, bar service out of hours, general porter/concierge duties.
  • Security including completing security clock rounds, fire checks, locking up the hotel and spa, managing the front door access during the night, complying with fire prevention and fire procedures

Requirements for the role of Night Porter:

  • Smart appearance
  • Friendly manner
  • Customer service experience
  • Mature approach to customer service and safety/security issues
  • Must have 2 excellent references available to be checked
  • Experience of night shift working preferred
  • Must be able to cover 4 nights per week including some weekend shifts on a rota basis.

Salary for the role of Night Porter is given as £19,836.16 per annum (£19,036.16 + £800 per annum guaranteed service charge payment) for a 4 day, 32 hr week / plus other company benefits. Live out only.
