Fast-paced role managing breaking news, identifying stories and working with a team of reporters to deliver them at pace.

You will liaise with local colleagues as well as teams around the world to provide compelling content for our readers.

You will be involved in the management of editorial production processes, assisting with news page editing and news gathering.

A strong track record of news gathering, editing and managing a team of reporters is essential, together with a thorough understanding of digital 24-hour newsroom operates,

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the quality and output of rolling, 24-hour, digital news
• Manage a team of reporters, assisting them with stories where necessary
• Assist the Night Editor when needed
• Write engaging headlines while establishing a strong production process and managing breaking news
• Good understanding of analytics
• Monitor the wires, rival publications and TweetDeck
