Night Support Worker

A job opportunity has arose for a Night Support Worker in Peterborough. This is 3 month temporary contract and you’ll be required to work full time.

Length: 3 Months Temporary ongoing
Hours: 40 hours per week 4 on 4 off (10pm – 8am)
Location: Peterborough

The role involves:
• Working in a Homeless Hostel during the night ensuring the building is secure and the residents are safe, this role will be lone working between 3am and 8am
• Report any incidents that occur during the night are recorded and reported correctly
• Do regular security checks of the building making sure everything is how it should be and everything is secure
• Help to prevent any noise issues or bad behaviour while ensuring all staff an residents are safe at all times
• Make sure that all doors are locked and security cameras are working correctly
• Conduct cleaning where necessary
• Ensure that the building is evacuated in case of an emergency in line with policies and procedures
• Pass over all relevant information to the Support Worker on the day shift when they come into work
• Let people into the building who are staff or residents

Additional requirements:
• Experience in a similar position working with vulnerable clients
• An enhanced DBS with adults and children’s work force check ideally from within three years or the willingness to obtain a new one
