Calling all NQTS! We are currently in search of Newly Qualified Teachers (finishing 2024/ already obtained QTS but yet to complete NQT) to fill a number of full-time, long-term positions in Primary Schools across Cardiff & Caerphilly.

We aim to place you in the ideal role for you. Whether that be location or year group, we want to assist in finding your dream 1st classroom!

We can offer day-to-day supply roles, from short & long-term placements. We aim to be flexible around your needs & commitments. By registering with Academics, you will receive support from our dedicated consultants in your 1st year of teaching.

  • Location: Cardiff & Caerphilly
  • Pay: Starting at £157.66 per day (M1 scale)
  • Start Date: Sept 2024

To register as a Newly Qualified Teacher:

  • Pending or already obtained QTS status
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate & registration with the EWC
  • 2 Professional Teaching References (PGCE tutor and latest placement).

Role requirements as a Newly Qualified Teacher:

As a Newly Qualified Teacher, the roles & responsibilities will differ depending on assignment (daily supply, long or short-term).

  • Planning & delivering lessons
  • Classroom management
  • Assessing student progression
  • Fostering positive relationships with staff, pupils & parents
  • Contributing to the school community
  • Following school policies & procedures
  • Inclusivity of lessons to meet the needs of all students
