Job Purpose:

  • To work with people with Learning Disabilities and their carers to achieve personal outcomes and to enhance their independence and coping skills.
  • To work within current legislation and Council policy, procedures and practice to assess, commission and review services, including planned interventions, for the client group.
  • To work within the statutory guidance and policy/procedural framework to assist in protecting those who are at risk or vulnerable.

Qualifications

  • Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field i.e. social work, leadership and management.
  • Active Social Work England registration and proven evidence of continuing professional development
