TSR Legal are pleased to be working with a well-established high-street law firm, looking for a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to work alongside the Head of the Department. As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will be integral to the team, working closely with two Partners, a Consultant Solicitor, a Solicitor, two Paralegals, and another Legal Assistant. The role promises a high volume of administrative responsibilities, offering the chance to refine your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle initial client inquiries professionally, providing accurate cost estimates.
  2. Manage incoming calls from clients and external parties, ensuring top-notch client service.
  3. Proactively follow up with clients and third parties to expedite processes.
  4. Initiate both electronic and physical files, aligning with the firm's aim for a paperless office.
  5. Maintain meticulous records, ensuring accessibility and currency of all files.
  6. Coordinate contract packs, Land Registry documents, and searches.
  7. Craft precise exchange and completion correspondence.
  8. Execute pre-completion searches and set up completions.
  9. Support team targets with a collaborative approach.
  10. Oversee office post to ensure efficient document management.
  11. Maintain office resources to facilitate smooth operations.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Minimum availability of 4 days per week, with occasional Saturdays.
  2. Strong communication and client care skills, adept at building rapport.
  3. Initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to support various office tasks.
  4. Willingness to work across multiple office locations as required.
  5. Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player.
  6. Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  7. Proficient typing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  8. Dedicated and loyal professional with a strong work ethic.

Desirable Attributes:

  1. Previous experience in a conveyancing department.
  2. Familiarity with case management systems.
