New Business Underwriter

If so, we have a great role in Manchester City Centre with one of our MGA clients as they look to add a New Business Underwriter to their brilliant team due to growth plans.

You will be an experienced Underwriter focused on New Business and will be somebody with good personality, a hard-working attitude, ambition, drive and determination, with excellent communication and relationship building skills.

The Role:

• As a New Business Underwriter, you will be responsible for providing a quality underwriting service, helping the Company to continue developing portfolios of profitable Commercial Lines business.
• You will work closely with the team in targeting and developing strong regional broker relationships, maximising the business opportunities that can come from this.
• You will also get involved in the strategic underwriting review on account performance and assist in developing appropriate action plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven Underwriting experience from a New Business perspective with a good technical knowledge of Property and Casualty covers.
• Excellent communication skills, both in a verbal and written manner.
• The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of different people.
• Hard-working attitude with drive and determination to succeed.
