A prominent London-based organization is in search of a skilled Network & Security Engineer to bolster their Infrastructure Team. The role involves supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the performance, resiliency, and security of the network infrastructure. The environment comprises Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Brocade, Dell, and SolarWinds platforms, along with networking services hosted within AWS and Azure. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with exposure to cutting-edge networking technologies.

Role Brief:

Seeking a Network & Security Engineer to join the Infrastructure Team with a primary focus on maintaining the network infrastructure. This hybrid role involves working within both network operations and project delivery.

Requirements:

• Experience in project delivery and BAU/Operations.
• Proactive diagnosis and troubleshooting of networking faults and performance issues.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, priorities, and incident management.
• Maintenance of network software and hardware lifecycle.
• Technical documentation maintenance.
• Proactive monitoring of network performance, utilization, and health alerts.
• Network commissioning and installation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to discuss network requirements, and collaborate with other technical teams.
• Maintenance of good relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
• Awareness of the latest industry technologies and security best practices.
• Participation in bi-monthly on-call SOC rota.

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in enterprise networking.
• Valid CCNP Enterprise or working towards it.
• Proficiency with Cisco LAN (Wired and Wireless) WAN, Security, and Data Centre Networking.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience of routing and switching.
• Practical experience with next-generation firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto Gateways and Cisco Firepower Services).
• Practical experience of secure wired, wireless, and VPN onboarding.
• Experience working within the ITIL framework and demonstrating its use and standards within change control, operations, and project delivery.
• Must have a full UK driver’s license.

Desirable:

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security or equivalent.
• Palo Alto PCSNA or PCSNE or equivalent.
• F5 Local Traffic Management.
• Cisco SD-Access/SD-WAN, DNA Centre.
• Microsoft VMware, VCP, MCSA or equivalent.
• Cloud Networking: Azure, AWS.
