NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER WORKING WITH A LEADING CONSULTANCY ON A GOVERNMENT PROJECT

• Contract opportunity in Barrow in Furness for talented Senior Network Engineer to work on mission-critical projects.
• Day rate up to £515 p/day DOE - INSIDE IR35
• You will need an active SC-level Clearance.

WHAT WILL THE SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER BE DOING?

My client is a global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Trusted partners to the UK Government and as Senior Network Engineer you will be joining an established Network Operations Centre team working with other Network engineers. Hybrid working is possible with the role, though there may be a requirement to attend the client site as needed. Additionally, (following a period of acclimatization) you will be involved in internal and vendor technical bridges, and be expected to work independently, or as part of a wider team of people. You will be expected to act as a technical SME during incident resolution.

THE SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN….

• Good working knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within IT and networking field
• Any valid networking technical certifications demonstrating proficiency with these skills
• Essential networking hands-on experience with:
• Cisco ACI software defined networks (multi-site & multi-pod)
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Network management tools like SolarWinds, or similar
• Citrix NetScaler's
• Network Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & AnyConnect Remote Access)
• Identity Services - AAA & Cisco ISE
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding complex routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
