Network Engineer

  • Permanent
  • Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
  • Location: Leamington Spa
  • Must be SC Clearable and NPVV3

Looking for a 3rd line Network Engineer who can juggle between standard BAU requirements as well as project based work within the business.

This client is currently going through a transformation in their infrastructure and new networking tools are being implemented.

Key Responsibilities of a Network Engineer

  • Provide and maintain a secure IT network and infrastructure environment
  • Input to upgrading design plans
  • Troubleshooting BAU network escalations and tickets
  • Network configuration and security
  • Stays on top of new technologies and looks for streamlining and improving current systems and security.
  • Network switching, routing, firewalls and Wi-Fi
  • Fault finding
  • Working on corporate firewalls

Essential Experience required by the Network Engineer:

  • Proven track record as a Network Engineer providing 3rd line support as well as project work
  • Proven track record working in a fast paced environment
  • CCNA or CCNP certifications
  • They will require knowledge and experience in the majority of the below and have technical responsibilities in a largely Cisco-based infrastructure, including:
    • Cisco environment and products
    • SD WAN experience is required
    • VLAN, AZURE, vWAN, zScaler, Avaya telephony, Solarwinds
