Network Engineer - AWS , Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Multicast

An exciting and varied role working within the Financial / Banking arena in The City …. Whilst not essential preferred candidates will come from a Financial / Banking Background although it does provide candidates with "the Right" technical skills to gain industry experience. Paying in the £80 to £110k region (skills dependant) + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits.

Ideal candidates will strong AWS experience.

Role Overview - You will Be:

• Designing, Implementing and Troubleshooting the Global Network.
• Design and implement Cloud strategy for inter-connecting on-prem and cloud customers alike.
• Ability to perform network and security changes to meet new requirements.
• Monitoring the global network infrastructure.
• Documentation of the global network infrastructure.
• DR testing of the global network infrastructure.
• Periodic update of the network equipment.
• Work within a global network team and provide support to other regions.
• Act a resource representing the Network team for IT projects (Cross team collaboration).
• Design/Implementation of new network requirements/changes for business requirements.
• Network security design and implementation.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Expected to contribute to managing technical & service life cycles. Including strategies, roadmaps and "buy-hold-sell" lists; as well as vendor liaison, assessment and management.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience Installing, Configuring and Troubleshooting Arista, Cisco and Juniper Routers & Switches
• MPLS, RSVP, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, VRF
• Strong knowledge of Multicast PIM Sparse and dense mode highly desirable
• EIGRP / OSPF / BGP
• Strong knowledge of Cloud computing network - AWS VPC, TGW, VGW, and merging of on-prem with cloud.
• LAN-LAN and Remote access IPSec VPN
• Routing, Switching, NAT
• Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS
• Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco ASA Firewall, Juniper SRX Firewall
• Spanning Tree Protocol and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol
• IP network packet troubleshooting and analysis
• WAN/Campus LAN network design and implementation
• Firewall DMZ design and implementation
• Network issue troubleshooting
• Understanding of MPLS technology
• Ansible and Terraform automation
• Understanding of Cisco IP Telephony
• Project management skills from inception to delivery

Non Essential But Highly Desirable Skills:

• Previous Financial experience - Futures & Options Trading / Settlement Systems.
• Knowledge of at least one of the ISV’s products and their connectivity - Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, Fidessa, ION / Patsystems, Trayport.
• Exchange Connectivity - ICE / LIFFE, Eurex, CME / CBOT, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.
• Some Linux / Unix System Administration - RedHat, Ubuntu, Solaris.
