We have an exciting opportunity to recruit Neighbourhood Officers on an ongoing, temporary basis in the Warrington area where you will be responsible for a patch of approximately 650 properties.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties including viewings, tenancy audits, exchanges, pre-termination visits, block inspections, abandoned dwellings and pursuing no access, as well as management of low level anti-social behaviour, unauthorised occupation, neighbour disputes and environmental issues such as fly tipping, untidy gardens and enforcement of tenancy conditions.


Your new role

  • Undertake a range of visits including viewings, audits, exchange inspections, attending evictions and other tenancy management functions, such as dealing with relationship breakdowns, unauthorised occupation including tenancy fraud and dealing with failures to allow access.
  • Triage all ASB and hate crime cases, as well as prepare & service notices for breaches of tenancy conditions where appropriate and manage caseload of ASB and other tenancy breach cases.
  • Assist in the design of solutions & neighbourhood consultation to create more attractive and vibrant areas to live in, including estate-based improvements and property/estate redesign.
  • Liaise with income teams to maximise income for the company
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings, working groups and other meetings to deliver required outcomes as well as attending tenant/resident meetings to provide information, advice and support on tenant involvement opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the holistic approach to tenancy sustainment within caseload in relation to issues such as needs assessment, reduction of risks, maximising income and ensuring tenancy conditions are being met.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of managing a large patch of housing stock, and knowledge of current housing legislation
  • Experience of managing ASB cases and tenancy breaches
  • Ability to manage professional relationships with tenants including challenging non-compliance and low to medium support needs
  • Knowledge of the economic, social and environmental context of your property portfolio
  • Level 3 CIH or willingness to work towards
  • Driving licence with access to your own vehicle

  • Mileage paid 45p per mile when travelling from the office
