We are looking for a Neighbourhood Officer (9 Month FTC) to join the property team in this exciting brand new role. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be managing properties in the Calderdale area. This role is field based; you will balance your time between working in the field and from home. When needed you will be required to travel to your designated office at Halifax or Blackburn.

The focus of the Neighbourhood Officer (9 Month FTC) is to deliver a high-quality tenancy management service, providing excellent customer care, making a difference in neighbourhoods and working to improve the lives of our residents. You will be visible and accessible in our communities, engaging our customers and local partners working together to build neighbourhood resilience.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and who will deliver consistently high levels of customer care in a fast paced and demanding environment. Experience of working in a housing management environment or similar whilst not essential is an advantage. Duties will include letting empty homes quickly and efficiently and managing a range of tenancy management issues including dealing with anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and property condition.

Requirements

Outline of Key responsibilities for the Neighbourhood Officer (9 Month FTC)...

  • You will be responsible for showing customers around empty properties and carrying out lettings in accordance with our policies & procedures
  • You will provide advice and assistance to our residents on all housing matters so they can successfully maintain their tenancy. This includes information on legal rights, responsibilities of their tenancy agreement and managing any welfare and safeguarding concerns.
  • You will be the point of contact for housing management services on a patch, including the enforcement of the Association's conditions of tenancy, particularly in relation to the condition of property and/or garden.
  • You will work as part of a regional team to deliver excellent customer service and meet all performance objectives.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Full UK drivers licence and access to a car as the role is field based
  • Experience and knowledge of housing/ lettings or ideally social housing
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of customers and dealing with a variety of situations.
  • Experienced in faced to face customer service
  • Solution focused and experience in working with customers and stakeholders.
  • An ability to manage confidential and personal information appropriately and sensitively.
  • Personal resilience to deal with a fast paced, demanding role juggling a number of tasks at once

  • Salary of £29,982 per annum
  • Annual pay scale increase
