Our client is a leading North West-based financial wellbeing and retirement specialist, working with hundreds of businesses across the private and public sector by offering their staff financial education, guidance and regulated financial advice. As our client's company continues to grow, a requirement has arisen for a National Business Development Manager. The position is home-based.

Reporting to the Head of New Business, the National Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development and management of the firm's new business area which is responsible for delivering new profitable corporate clients to the business in order to achieve income targets. The National Business Development Manager's key duties will include:

  • Deliver new business sales target as defined by Head of New Business (HNB)
  • Develop and manage the new business contact plan to support the delivery of sales targets activities to include: Pipeline development, Gap Analysis, Activity planning & management
  • Manage the follow up of all new business leads to arrange initial and follow up appointments: External events, Mailing campaigns, Website enquiries
  • Manage all follow up activity from events attended including those attended by self, HNB or Sales Director to maximise sales opportunities
  • Develop a full understanding of the company's business model to support engaging discussions with prospects and new clients
  • Research and seek networking events to explore potential new business opportunities
  • Research and draft client business proposals following meetings which sets out to summarise key points discussed
  • Take the lead in any response to tender applications in order to secure shortlisting, working with internal departments to create innovative ideas for the delivery of services and play lead role in pitch meetings in order to secure new business contracts.
  • Lead client handover meetings with allocated Corporate Project Implementation Manager and oversee delivery of first project deliverable to ensure deliverables agreed are met.

The successful candidate for the National Business Development Manager vacancy will receive:

  • A salary of up to £75,000 (depending on experience)

  • Strong background in Corporate Sales or EB Sales within Financial Services
  • Demonstrate conversational level of knowledge application in UK pension (DB & DC ) UK share schemes & flex benefit offerings
  • Appreciation of how benefit/pension functions operate from a technical and operational perspective e.g. salary sacrifice, trustees, compliance
  • Be enthusiastic and driven
