Staffroom Education are currently short-listing for a Music Teacher vacancy within a Secondary School in Newport. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in ASAP, and will continue until July 2024. The person specification for this role recommends a determined and passionate subject Teacher teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4 with the ability to develop, encourage and inspire learning at their core.

Job Requirements:

  • A first-class subject knowledge across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Thorough classroom management strategies

  • A passion for raising student expectations and achievements

  • The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils

  • The ability to remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role

  • Awareness of and compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection
