Our client, an artist management company for global artists is seeking a highly capable Music Rights Administrator to adeptly handle artist data and rights.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Administering all artist data, intellectual property, revenue streams and both physical and digital archives.
· Maintaining databases for key artist data to include music, intellectual rights information, and artist archives.
· Logging information of record label and publishing rights.
· Flagging when rights periods are expiring.
· Registering new music with collection societies, assigning ISRC codes and keeping a record of recording information for all recordings and releases.
· Logging records of metadata pertaining to collection societies registrations.
· Liaising with collecting bodies/finance/legal/publishers to resolve rights disputes and manage sync requests.
· Managing artist archives that contain digital and physical audio and audiovisual material.
· Handling the correct and optimal input of all content and products that are registered on platforms.
· Ensuring artist archives are regularly maintained with audio, audiovisual tapes and files, items, merchandise, paperwork, costumes, and historic documents.
· Creating and proof-reading label copy and album artwork credits, keeping records of metadata, adherence to content policies, and dealing with claims.
· Submitting live setlists and cue sheets to collection societies where needed.
· Overseeing the storage of both physical and digital assets.
Requirements:
· In-depth understanding of music rights, royalties, and metadata requirements.
· Previous experience working with a label/publisher/collection society in a similar role essential.
· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
· High-level organisational abilities.
· Extensive comprehension of the music industry’s functions.
