A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a reputable secondary school located in Yardley for a passionate and dedicated Music ECT (Early Career Teacher). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to embark on their teaching career journey within a supportive and nurturing environment.

As a Music ECT, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in accordance with the UK national curriculum for Music at Key Stages 3 and 4. You will join a dynamic department dedicated to fostering creativity, musicality, and a love for music among our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the music curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to promote music within the school community.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with a focus on Music.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
