Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading manufacturing companies. The successful candidate will be part of an Engineering team responsible for ensuring that Plant and Machinery are maintained and repaired in compliance with both Group and local safety systems/legislation.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Identify and recover fault situations on machinery.
  • Provide electro/mechanical support for both direct production equipment and services, including plant ancillaries.
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Procure spare parts as needed.
  • Liaise and work with Sub Contractors/Service Engineers.
  • Complete project work in conjunction with the Department Team Leader and Safety Coordinator.
  • Assist with Plant upgrades and installations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade qualification in Electrical or Electro/Mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry or FMCG sectors.
  • General industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of machine control systems.
  • Strong team working capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience in spare parts and service procurement.
  • Basic computer skills.
