Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a state-of-the-art, high-speed FMCG manufacturing facility in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated engineering team, focusing on preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and continuous improvement projects. Day-to-day of the role:

• Conducting routine maintenance and testing on manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Responding to equipment faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and implementing timely solutions.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings to aid in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance production processes and reduce downtime.
• Collaborating with other engineers and production staff to ensure smooth operation of the facility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A strong background in multi-skilled engineering, with proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Relevant engineering qualification (degree, HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
