Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Elevation have the pleasure of working with an industry leading manufacturing client in the Barnsley area who are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established team.

Salary: £46,819
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Days and nights – Panama shift pattern

Duties of this position:

• Being proactive within the job focusing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the infrastructure and Mechanical Control Systems.
• Attending to breakdowns
• Actively working with the continuous improvement team to ensure yourself and the company are the best it can be!
• Dealing with PPM’s
• Working within a team environment- you will usually be partnered up with another Electrical Engineer throughout the day
• Fault finding on PLC’s such as Siemens, Omron

Desired experience:

• You must have at least Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ based)
• It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
• Ideally have 3 years experience within a similar environment/ job role
• Must have manufacturing experience.
• Must be happy working days and nights on shift rotation.
• Have experience of Fault finding withing previous roles.
• Knowledge and experience of PLC’s such as Siemens and Omron would be advantageous
• Have experience of working within an Electrical Maintenance Engineering role previously
• Must be happy within a team environment, whilst also being capable of working from own initiative
• Great communication skills (reading and spoken English is Essential)
• You must be open minded and flexible to change with the needs and growth of the business
