With £10million already invested this start up organisation, with a specialised team of 12, using the very latest tech in high performance computing has already developed a powerful and fully functional MVP and is in the final stages of shaping the organization for its next stage of growth.

Opportunity

Your level of work experience as a Mobile App Developer is far less important than your capability.

We are seeking an experienced IOS/Android Mobile App Developer to build an application that includes advanced features such as chat, charting and audio-visual content, using the latest technologies. The product is intended for the leading researchers and engineers in the world and needs to create a wow factor.

This role demands a deep understanding of mobile app development best practices and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-friendly applications.

You will be working directly with a businessperson whose products you will have definitely heard of and likely interacted with; the team are focused, hard-working, creative and recognized as amongst the best in their field.

Responsibilities

1. Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications across IOS and Android platforms with features including chat, charting, and audio-visual content.
2. Technology Integration: Integrate a variety of media services, APIs, and data sources into the app.
3. Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure seamless functionality across different mobile platforms and devices.
4. User Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a high-quality user experience.
5. Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
6. Quality Assurance: Test the application rigorously to ensure usability, detect and fix bugs or glitches.
7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the development process and application features.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, designers, and product managers.
9. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of new technology trends and best practices in mobile development.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for candidates who will do whatever it takes to make the product perfect. Work experience is far less important than capability BUT we need people that can make it very obvious how good they are through a portfolio the demonstrates high proficiency in mobile app development.

You will be asked to present a portfolio of your work as part of the shortlisting process.

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrable experience in mobile app development.
• Strong skills in mobile app development frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Dart.
• Experience with chat and real-time communication protocols and APIs.
• Familiarity with charting libraries and tools for mobile platforms.
• Experience in integrating audio-visual content in mobile applications.

Working Situation

The office is based in Derby however, we will consider candidates on a hybrid basis that can comfortably come to the offices on a regular basis.

Salary

£30,000-£65,000 depending upon experience

Lucrative stock options will be applied after a qualifying period.
