Reed are working with a great education provider who is seeking a Technician to support full time in a classroom based setting.

The successful applicant will work as Motor Vehicle Technician to support staff and students in a range practice activities within the workshop setting. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for mechanics and the ability to support learners in a post 16 setting.


Annual Salary:
£25,677 - £27,521
Location: Hampshire
Job Type: 37 hours per week

Day-to-day of the role of a Motor Vehicle Technician:

  • Preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of equipment and materials in the workshops.
  • Assisting with demonstrations of equipment and processes.
  • Responsible for basic servicing of machinery.
  • Operating and maintaining laser cutters, 3D printers, and CNC routers.
  • Supervising classes of learners within the teaching areas.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Motor Vehicle technician role:

  • Qualification in Motor Vehicle
  • Maths and English level 2 or equivalent
  • At least 2 or more years experience a Motor Vehicle technician role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people in a creative environment
  • Knowledge or health and safety in the workshop environment
