We are delighted to be working with this well established and highly regarded mortgage brokerage in Warrington. They are now looking to expand their operational team and are looking for a Mortgage Paraplanner to join them.

Role Overview:

As a Mortgage Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service. You’ll collaborate closely with internal departments and directors to ensure fair and responsible decisions are made based on customer information, swiftly and diligently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate suitability reports and letters to meet target deadlines.
  • Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with the necessary paperwork.
  • Conduct comparative and technical research for client recommendations and existing arrangement reviews.
  • Understand clients’ overall financial positions from fact-finds.
  • Collaborate with Mortgage and Protection Advisors to discuss client objectives, identifying and obtaining necessary information for suitability checks.
  • Investigate client queries thoroughly and provide accurate responses.
  • Conduct annual reviews in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficient use of mortgage-specific software.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven success and knowledge within Financial Services, specialising in mortgage and protection advice.
  • Excellent understanding of local market movements, activities, and competitors.
  • A drive to continuously develop your knowledge and skills.
  • Commitment to the company’s values and processes, offering excellent service.
  • Effective communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • High standard of English grammar and presentation skills.
  • Attained or working towards CeMAP.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, with the ability to assess suitability in line with clients’ goals.
  • Analytical skills, especially in analysing financial records and providing technical commentary.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple caseloads simultaneously.

Desirable:

  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience in advising on a range of products, including residential, buy-to-let (BTL), commercial, and bridging loans.
