This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless settlement process for MBS products, particularly those newly traded out of London, in collaboration with colleagues in Singapore and New York.

Position Overview:

  • Handle pre-matching, fails management, and reconciliation of US bond trades settling in the domestic market.
  • Work closely with the Trade Management team to ensure accurate and timely instruction of trades to the market.
  • Resolve unmatched trade exceptions through effective communication with clients, internal teams, and Sales & Trading.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of nostro and depot accounts.
  • Issue and process interest claims promptly.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering a superior customer experience.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, Operations teams, and sales/trading counterparts.
  • Participate in Fixed Income projects, including new product implementation and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities for process streamlining and automation.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures.
  • Provide training and coaching to other team members.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of Specified Pools trade lifecycle and Secondary and New Issue CMOs.
  • Proficiency in accrual periods on MBS Securities.
  • Ability to manually calculate Principal and Interest on trades.
  • Familiarity with Sales Allocations and Trade Confirmation processes.
  • Understanding of factors and their application in MBS.
  • Knowledge of blackout periods and their implications on trade settlement.
  • Awareness of TBAs (To-Be-Announced) and associated processes.
  • Capacity to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address root causes of issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
