This is an office-based role, and you must be within easy commutable distance of our Head Office in Horwich, Bolton!

A day in the life:

As a Trainee Mortgage Adviser, you'll play a pivotal role in providing top-notch service to our valued customers. Collaborating with industry experts, you'll build meaningful relationships and contribute to our shared mission of financial empowerment.

You’ll be an enthusiastic and driven individual, with high attention to detail and great people skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with the New Business team to take qualified leads
  • Skilfully navigating the financial landscape of your customer to source the most suitable products tailored to requirements
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of lender criteria, to ensure precise suitability
  • Delivering impactful sales calls, providing well-researched recommendations rooted in comprehensive product knowledge
  • Collaborating closely with lenders to facilitate smooth case processing
  • Working in tandem with Fluent's Case Management team to work cases towards successful completion
  • Proactively following up on leads and diligently chasing cases for updates
  • Achieving minimum targets with meticulous care and attention
  • Upholding personal performance standards of excellence
  • Staying abreast of evolving FCA requirements and industry changes
  • Fulfilling CPD requirements to maintain professional competence
  • Adhering to company compliance protocols, promptly addressing feedback and implementing necessary actions
  • Promoting best advice and setting a stellar example in customer care
  • Championing the Fluent brand and upholding best practices consistently.

Role requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience of working successfully to sales targets
  • Current or recent experience of an outbound call environment
  • Ability to respond quickly to training and adapt to changes within the industry
  • Proven experience in outbound sales, objection handling
  • Able to carry out processes in a compliant manner
  • Able to demonstrate achievements against a wide range of competencies
  • Experience in a busy sales environment

Desirable

  • Current or recent experience in a regulated finance company
  • Experience of broking/lending in the first charge market
  • Experience of broking/lending in the first charge market
  • Strong IT skills including the use of the full Microsoft package
  • Experience of working successfully in a team and also individually
  • CeMAP Level 1 (working towards Full CeMAP)
  • Experience of using bespoke software
